Rifle events can use rim fire rifles for beginners, or centerfire for more experienced shooters. The principal difference involves the power and recoil associated with each class of rifle. Rim fire firearms generate very little recoil and are easier to shoot well compared to the more powerful centerfires.
Rifle excursions can be indoors or out with paper targets placed at distances of 50 feet to longer ranges of 100-300 yards depending on the event and shooting experience of guests.
Guests learn how to safely operate bolt, lever, pump and semi-automatic rifles with and without optical sights or telescopic scopes for precision shooting.
Firearms used may include models from America’s oldest gun makers such as Remington,
Winchester,
Marlin and
Browning or precision target models from newer makers such as Armalite, Springfield Armory and MacMillan.
For certain historical events, we use US martial arms such as the venerable M1 "Garand” rifle that was used in WWII, Korea and early Vietnam.
